I'll Have A New Body; I'll Have A New Life

As believers we have that hope in Christ Jesus for eternal life. But we hardly ever mention a new body. In this corruptible body, there will always be sickness, disease, illness, and pain. The pharmaceutical industry is a multi-billion dollar venue, as well as hospitals and doctors. There is a pill, treatment, or experimental drugs to cure or treat this, that, or the other. But there is only one cure for a sin-sick body, and that is Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." This verse includes repenting from sin, trusting in Jesus for salvation, and submitting to Him as Lord. This mortal, corruptible body starting decaying as soon as we were born. It will not withstand the test of time. If Jesus delays His return, this physical body will die, no ifs, ands, or buts! When Jesus rose from the dead on that third day, He defeated death, and took the keys to death from satan (Revelation 1:18). Jesus was 100% human flesh, and because our hope is in Him, one day we (believers) will also be victorious over death. As believers we pass from death to life. As long as we continue on the path of righteousness, we have a new incorruptible, immortal body waiting for us that never ages, never gets sick, is never in pain, and most importantly will never again die. This is a promise from God that we can trust and believe. Who wouldn't want a new body along with eternal life? "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2Corinthians 5:17).
